Fund III follows two structured debt funds – the $38 million Catalyst Fund, which fully repaid investors in 2021, and the $37 million Blended Catalyst Fund, which is fully committed and matures in 2025 – which also explored innovative solutions to serve under-invested communities and close racial income and wealth gaps.
In order to bring the social impact investment objectives of the Fund to market, Living Cities formed a joint venture with Known, an experienced and values-aligned SEC-registered investment adviser. With this partnership, the Fund is leveraging a private sector platform where it can scale and grow to actualize a shared vision of the world as it should be.
Known Wealth LLC (Known) is a finance, and asset management firm that manages, structures and deploys capital into places that matter. Known works with founders, families and asset owners who value powerful, long-term impact and see the opportunity in the economy powered by the New Majority. Launched in 2021, Known is Black-, Indigenous-, Latinx- and Asian American-founded, and serves as a growth platform for the investment and sustainable growth of New Majority (also referred to as “BIPOC,” Black, Indigenous, People of Color) fund managers, financial advisors, bankers, and entrepreneurs.
