Black and Latine households are more likely to have a mortgage on their home compared to white counterparts who have a higher share of their homes cleared and paid off. Black and Latin households also have substantially lower homeownership rates and income levels while having higher cost-burden shares compared to white
households. Households of color also have disproportionate levels of small business activity and engagement, largely dominated by their white counterparts.
