Our Principal of Public Sector & Partnerships, Steven Bosacker, recently contributed to the International City/Council Management Association’s 18 in 2018, a publication assembling the predictions, views and tips of major public sector players for 2018.
In his essay on innovation, Steven explains that public servants at all levels must operationalize racial equity to foster the sort of municipal innovation that works for all residents. This type of work is urgent and crucial in 2018 and beyond. Cities have a wonderful obligation to address the inequities we continue to witness across the country—not just policing injustices, but devastating racial disparities. Steven emphasizes that government employees are in a unique position to tackle the problem, both as a personal goal and a professional agenda, this year.
