Ted Smith

Ted Smith was appointed by Mayor Greg Fischer as the Chief of Louisville Metro Government’s Office of Economic Growth & Innovation. Ted’s efforts include creating AIRLouisville, the pioneering large scale real-time asthma monitoring project that revealed the burden of asthma in various parts of Louisville and its connection to air pollution. Today Ted is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and serves as the Deputy Director of the Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute and the Director of the Center for Healthy Air, Water and Soil.
