Needham Hurst

Needham Hurst is a joint MPP/MBA candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School. He spent the last two years in New York City working for the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the mayor’s post-disaster housing task force. At HPD, Needham project managed the financing and rehabilitation of affordable and supportive housing projects. After graduating from Macalester College with a BA in Economics, he worked in Saint Paul, MN, as a foreclosure prevention community organizer. His research interests include housing strategies for vulnerable populations, smart infrastructure, and innovation in local government
