What does it take to close income and wealth gaps in the US? At Living Cities, our answer lies in our network’s ability to use their racial equity and inclusion skills to dismantle white supremacy culture, including racist narratives. We also believe more businesses owned by Black and brown people should be positioned to scale. Equitable policies and programs at the local level and through capital investment are a part of that work. Additionally, we aim to break down barriers to homeownership to reverse centuries of systematic suppression of wealth-building for Black people—and all communities of color.
